Founded in 1945, Sweet Adelines International is the world's largest non-profit musical education association for women. Its 30,000 members sing four-part a cappella harmony in the barbershop style in over 600 choruses throughout the United States and in 12 other countries.

Barbershop-style harmony is a type of a cappella (unaccompanied) singing with three voices -- tenor, baritone, and bass -- harmonizing to the melody, usually sung by the lead.

To learn more about Sweet Adelines International, take a quick trip to headquarters in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Or, if you're already hooked on ringing chords and want to sing with a chorus in Region 1, look at the map to Find A Chorus nearest you. The North Atlantic region includes all of New England, northeastern New York state, and eastern Canada.

And if you belong to a corporate or community organization that needs entertainment for an upcoming function, visit Region 1 Activities for our calendar of events and people to contact.
